Diet Coke in the UK tastes better!
Categories: Food
I love my Diet Coke. I don’t drink it often anymore, but I do love to have some when I am having snacks or have an upset tummy. I have tried Diet Coke in cans, plastic bottles, from fountain pop dispensers and other varieties. I have drank Diet Coke in various countries from the USA to Italy and they all taste fairly the same. The cans always are more bubbly, the plastic bottles suck, the fountain pop is only good because it is more soda water than cola syrup and finally there has been some versions that I have no clue how they are getting passed for soda, pop, or anything bubbly.
I grabbed a 200ml glass bottle of Diet Coke from the Waitrose grocery and figured it would be the same as any other bottle pop that I have had in London, but oh was I wrong! This Diet Coke rocked! It is better than any I have had in Canada in a long time. It was bubbly, but not too sweet and doesn’t seem to have too much caffeine. If I didn’t know any better, I would say it was chalk full of sugar… But I would know if it was, as my stomach would likely hurt then.
So with that said, the Diet Coke in the UK seems to just be better than anywhere else I have sampled it. Now I know it is sounding like I am some Diet Coke connoisseur, but I have been drinking Diet coke for quite a while. If you have a chance, try it out, and see what I mean. I am now off to enjoy my said Diet Coke, and yes it is about 2am right now, so mind my messy hair!
Cheers
